Is Your Body Trying to Tell You Something? Part 2

Your body leaves breadcrumbs everyday. It gives us everyday clues that our health might be out of balance. Are you ignoring the signs?

It’s all about those quiet, everyday clues that something might be off. These signs can feel normal because they’re so common—but “common” doesn’t mean healthy.

Here are a few clues to watch for:

  • Cravings that won’t quit. A sudden urge for sugar or salty snacks can signal blood sugar swings, stress, or even nutrient gaps.

  • Mid-afternoon crashes. That 3 p.m. fog isn’t just about needing coffee; it might mean your meals aren’t balanced or your sleep isn’t restorative.

  • Bloating after meals. Occasional puffiness is one thing, but regular bloating is your digestive system waving a red flag.

  • Waking at 3 a.m. Nighttime wakeups can point to stress hormones, blood sugar dips, or even liver overload.

Try being your own detective this week. Grab a notebook or use your phone to jot it down when these things happen: what you ate, how you slept, what kind of day you had. Patterns often show up faster than you’d think.

I learned this firsthand when I started tracking my own sweet cravings. A simple tracking habit helped me realize how I started my day impacted my focus and energy the rest of the day. When I start my day with high protein and healthy fat, I have fewer cravings, better energy and increased focus. Those just make it a better day all around.

This prompted me to do some morning meal prep. Oftentimes we think about prepping our dinners but this mindset shift helped me realize the importance of planning my first meal.

I’ll be diving deeper into these everyday clues and answering YOUR questions in my upcoming live Q&A. Bring your notes and let’s connect the dots together!
